Another chapter was added to the glorious history of Cricket in Canada when the Women's Cricket Development Programme was launched on Feb 28, 2009 at Astra Sportsplex, 2839 Rutherford Road, Vaughan, ON under the aegis of Ontario Cricket Association (OCA).
First inaugural workshop was chaired by Mrs. Rita Jethi. Mr. Mike Kendall President of OCA also welcomed Mr. Gulshan Sethi as Director of the Women's cricket development programme.It was organized by the President of OICA Mr. Melvin John.
The workshop was conducted by Coach Mr. Keith Green& Ms. Monali Patel and it was very well attended. Some on the spot Cricketing tips were provided by the Coach. Media was in full force and extensively covered the event. Every one who attended the workshop was very enthusiastic and was rearing to go. The response was overwhelming.
